City of Charleston Police Department hosts monthly Bingo Night for RMHC Charleston families

May 13, 2019

For the third month in a row, the City of Charleston Police Department is joining forces with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston for Bingo Night on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:00 p.m.  This event is a special evening for our families of critically ill children being treated at MUSC’s Children’s Hospital.  Taking place every month on the third Wednesday, it has been a huge success for our guests as well as our police force who provide dessert, prizes and lively conversation.

Each night RMHC Charleston has 32 families, who have traveled to Charleston for their child’s medical treatment, calling our House their ‘Home-away-from-home’.  Our home offers these families’ comfortable beds, hot meals, a caring staff, and a four-legged friend, Gardy, all just steps from the hospital.  Here, parents and children lead a life as normal as possible during their traumatic times without the financial burden of costly hotel, meal and travel expenses.

Ronald McDonald House Charities empowers families by providing stability and vital resources so they can get and keep their child happy and healthy. By keeping families together, RMHC helps children heal faster and cope better.
