Sylvan Learning Center of Greenville announces July Summer Camps

Parents looking for summer camps aimed at bolstering their children’s science and math skills have plenty of options at Sylvan Learning Center of Greenville this July.
The camps are as follows:
• Robot Factory 101: Kids work on cool challenges that bring science to life with LEGO robots. Kids bring robotics to life by building and programming creations using LEGO® that specialize in forces and motion like driving, cranking, walking, spinning, wobbling, flexing, reeling, or lifting. July 8 through July 11, 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. For grades one through three.
• Safari Bots Camp 1: Build, Program, and explore robot models of different animals. Introduction to the work of the most ingenious engineer of all time – Mother Nature! From bulls to turtles and gorillas to giraffes. Build, program, and explore clever robot models of different animals. Each camp is unique, 1 is not required to take 2. July 8 through July 11, 12:30 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. For grades one through six.
• Star Bots 1: Kids will love this hands-on introduction to robotics. Students will learn about and use LEGOs® to build different items they might see or use in space, such as a droid, the space shuttle, or the Mars Rover. Each camp is unique. 1 is not a predecessor to 2. July 15 through July 18, 12:30 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. For grades one through six.
• Mad Science 1: Kids explore cool science concepts with an early introduction to physics. In this highly interactive camp, students will explore science concepts like speed, motion, gravity and sound. Let the creativity soar when kids gather to create, tinker and explore! July 22 through July 25, 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. For grades one through three.
• Robo City 2: Kids will love this hands-on introduction to robotics. Students will learn about and use LEGOs® to build different city needs such as pumps, firetrucks, cranes and forklifts (along with many others). Each camp is unique. 1 is not a predecessor to 2. July 22 through July 25, 12:30 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. For grades one through six.
