August 5, 2019

Mary Louise Resch has been named Director of Philanthropy, a new position at Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Resch recently stepped down as Government Relations, Disaster and Grants Manager of Harvest Hope Food Bank. She was responsible for raising $1.8 – $2.2 million dollars annually for the food bank through grants and corporate support.

In her new position, Ms. Resch will oversee Central SC Habitat for Humanity’s More Than A Home campaign. Habitat’s goal is to build 30 new homes in the Midlands and repair 30 existing homes over the next three years. To reach this goal, Central SC Habitat for Humanity has launched a $9 million-dollar campaign which funds the operating, capital and endowment needs. The More Than A Home campaign will affect everyone in our community through the stability that home-ownership and neighborhood revitalization builds, truly changing neighborhoods one block at a time.

“Under the direction of Mary Louise Resch, Central SC Habitat for Humanity is poised to expand and strengthen our strategic plan for the Midlands,” said Central SC Habitat for Humanity CEO, Roy Kramer. “Mary Louise’s passionate commitment to social change, her extensive networks and proven track record bode well for Central SC Habitat for Humanity and its ability to provide strength and stability through shelter in our community” Kramer said.
