David King named Business and Leadership department head at Greenville Technical College

Greenville Technical College has named David King department head for the Economic Development and Corporate Training division’s department of Business and Leadership. King will be responsible for continuing education and professional development courses including Lean Six Sigma, a Supervisory Certificate, and project management, supply chain, and real estate certifications.

King brings an extensive background in quality principles, applications, and systems to the position. He spent 35 years in the quality field at manufacturing sites producing wire and cable, air conditioning systems, light fixtures, hydraulic pumps, and automotive seals and trims. He has served as a quality assurance manager, senior quality engineer, quality supervisor, quality and product design engineer, and statistical engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Virginia Tech.
