Bluestein’s Clarke Newton named to Leadership Columbia class of 2020

Clarke Newton, a lawyer with Bluestein Attorneys, has been named to the Leadership Columbia Class of 2020.

He is one of 63 rising community leaders who will participate in the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce program, which is presented by BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina. This is the 47th class since the program was founded in 1972.

“The synergy of this year’s class will have a lasting impact on our region,” Columbia Chamber President and CEO Carl Blackstone said when 2020 group was announced.

Participants experience a 10-month curriculum that includes monthly daylong sessions, a retreat, a class project, and a variety of enrichment activities that involve them more deeply in the Midlands.

Clarke received his bachelor’s degree in 2005, majoring in political science, and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009.

His practice with Bluestein concentrates on criminal defense, medical malpractice, wrongful death, motorcycle wrecks, wrecks with tractor-trailers, and personal injury.
