Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island names Scott Etchberger Human Resources Director

The AAA Four Diamond-rated Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island has named Scott Etchberger as its new Human Resources Director.
Situated along the coast of South Carolina’s picturesque Hilton Head Island, the lushly landscaped beachfront resort provides beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, access to miles of pristine white-sand beach, an array of on-site amenities, 23,000 square feet of flexible function space for up to 1,100 guests, and scenic outdoor venues.
In his new position, Etchberger is responsible for overseeing the 340-room resort’s Human Resources department, which includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training programs for the resort’s team, as well as overseeing employees’ benefit packages. Etchberger joins the 11-acre resort from the 1,249-room Hilton Atlanta in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Interim Human Resources Director and prior to that as Assistant Director of Human Resources. His extensive experience also includes serving for 11 years as Human Resources Manager II for Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona; and for seven years as the Vice President and co-owner of the retail gift business Soothe Your Soul Gift Gallery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Sedona, Arizona. Previous to that he was Manager of Visitor Center Services & Training for Hershey Company in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Ann celebrated their 20th anniversary on May 4, 2019, and they have two boxer dogs, Jack and Stella.
