Stevens & Wilkinson hosts MIRCI for On the Table (OTT) event

OTT is an Annual Day-Long Event Implemented by Central Carolina Community Foundation
Stevens & Wilkinson, a full-service architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, with offices in Atlanta and Columbia, S.C., hosted Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) for this year’s “On the Table” initiative. The annual one-day event put on by Central Carolina Community Foundation, took place on Tuesday, October 22nd.
On the Table invites members of Richland and Lexington Counties to connect and gather over mealtime conversations to discuss how we can make our communities stronger. Participants may host and/or attend “community conversations” in their homes, businesses, schools, or places of business. As stated by the Central Carolina Community Foundation, the goal of the event is to, “bring a diversity of voices to the discussion of who we are, our vision for the future, and what we can do to get there together.”

Stevens & Wilkinson hosted a community conversation for MIRCI regarding homelessness in the Midlands at their downtown Columbia location. MIRCI is a social rehabilitation organization that offers activities to help recovering persons obtain self-confidence, become better adjusted, and live independently within the community.
“When we were approached by MIRCI to serve as a host for this year’s On the Table initiative, we jumped at the opportunity to not only support but to serve an organization that provides meaningful services to those living in and around the Midlands for the last 60 years,” continued Merritt.
