Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce recognize three Spartanburg County Lawmakers as business advocates
October 31, 2019The Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce recognized State Reps. Rita Allison, Mike Forrester and Max Hyde for their efforts to support business-friendly legislation at the Spencer/Hines Properties CEO Social.
The Chamber presented the three legislators with Business Advocates awards at the event, held on Oct. 29 at Milliken. Allison, Forrester and Hyde each scored higher than 80 percent on the SC Chamber’s Legislative Scorecard, measuring how elected officials voted on issues concerning state and local business communities.
“The Chamber is the voice of businesses across Spartanburg County. We work with our members and the business community at-large to advocate for business-friendly legislation at the state level. When local lawmakers support those efforts, our community has more economic opportunities,” said John Kimbrell, executive vice president of the Spartanburg Chamber. “Representatives Allison, Forrester and Hyde are to be commended for their support of local workers and local businesses.”
