New “Soda City Certified” app allows users to explore city and earn incentives

Now accepting businesses, venues, and individuals to be featured on the app
Are you Soda City Certified? Prove it! Get ready Columbia. There’s a new app coming to town! Soda City Certified (SCC) is the only mobile application that aims to help residents and visitors explore our Capitol City. SCC is now accepting businesses, venues, and individuals to be featured. Prices range from $100-$2,500 annually.
SCC, formatted for Apple iTunes and Google Play Android smartphones, allows users to receive incentives for frequenting Columbia’s most notable events, venues, restaurants, historical sites, and attractions. The app is available for free in both app stores. All rights are reserved.
“We wanted to create a tool for everyone to explore this great city,” said Khali Gallman, app creator. “We have been fortunate to include sites and events overseen by the Historic Columbia Foundation, and we look forward to including other key attractions around town. Our goal is to support economic development as well as foster professional and personal relationships.”
SCC will include businesses that offer local deals in the Midlands and surrounding areas. There are three main components of the SCC app: Events, Deals, and Who’s Who. Because the app is GPS-based, users receive points for “checking in,” taking pictures, and/or social sharing. Venues and events can also allow users to accumulate points from their own incentives. The Who’s Who component serves as a networking tool for small business owners, entrepreneurs, jobseekers, and students. We are accepting participants for the following Who’s Who categories: art, automobile services, beauty, dentists, educators, health and fitness, hair stylists, insurance, legal, marketing, massage therapists, media, nightlife, physicians, realtors, restaurants, students, etc.
Users who have at least 5,000 points by January 31, 2021 will be deemed “Soda City Certified” for the previous year. The top three users will receive $500.00 each plus bragging rights.
To participate on the Soda City Certified app, visit www.sodacitycertified.com and fill out the forms. A 2020 New Year promo code (SCC2020) may be used for a discount for the first 25 entries in each component.
