Repairs to shade structures at Waterfront Park begin
February 16, 2020The City of Charleston has contracted with IPW to perform repairs on the three shade structures on the pier at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Waterfront Park.
The pier will remain open to the public, but the areas underneath the shade structures, which include the swinging benches, will be inaccessible. The project is expected to take approximately four months to complete.
The work is necessary to repair and prevent deterioration of the structures, due to the harsh waterfront conditions.
