Kornelia Kostka named as Greenville Area Development Corporation Research Manager

The Greenville Area Development Corporation has named Kornelia Kostka as the economic development organization’s new Research Manager.

In her new role, Ms. Kostka will manage the GADC’s research efforts that include maintaining key information on the agency’s website, managing its sites and buildings database, and responding to a variety of complex information requests. She will also prepare data reports, develop customized maps, and compile targeted workforce information in support of business recruitment and retention.

A native of Kielce, Poland, Ms. Kostka earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from the College of Charleston, where she also excelled as a member of the university’s cross country and track and field teams. Following graduation, Ms. Kostka worked as a data analyst for Lending Tree subsidiary SnapCap in Charleston before returning to Krakow, Poland to work in banking operations with Euroclear Bank.

Ms. Kostka returned to the United States to attend the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business where she earned her International MBA in 2020, while also working in supply chain management during Summer 2019 with United Parcel Service.

Her additional prior work experience includes time in accounting and logistics with Allen Lund Company, and working in business development support for the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Munich, Germany office. A skilled researcher with fluency in Polish and English, as well as growing proficiency in French, Ms. Kostka also is a former member of the Polish National Track and Field Team.
