Palmetto Breeze launches Tribute Tuesday sails to support Pay It Forward Charleston

June 10, 2020

Palmetto Breeze has announced it will be supporting Pay It Forward Charleston as part of this season’s Tuesday sails out of Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant, SC. As Charleston’s premier catamaran for sunset sails, dolphin cruises tours and special events on the water, Palmetto Breeze offers weekly themed tours to not only entertain guests but can now support local food and beverage workers hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic each Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to launch our Tribute Tuesday sails as a way to give back to the Lowcountry community,” said Carole Borden, owner of Palmetto Breeze. “While COVID-19 has impacted so many within the local food and beverage industry, we saw this as an opportunity to support those workers by partnering with Pay It Forward Charleston. These efforts will not only put groceries in the hands of families, but help local farmers as well.”

Palmetto Breeze’s Tribute Tuesday Sunset Sails will take place on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months. The sail launches from Shem Creek and features an evening ride along the Charleston Harbor. A portion of the proceeds from this sail will be donated to Pay It Forward Charleston, feeding food and beverage workers in need. Tickets must be purchased in advance online or by calling (843) 886-8133.

“It is an amazing opportunity to join forces with Palmetto Breeze and the AquaSafaris team,” said Tara Pate, director of marketing for Butcher & Bee and volunteer for Pay It Forward Charleston. “We are grateful for their partnership and support for the food and beverage employees who have been impacted by COVID-19.”

The two-hour sail is $35 for adults, $25 for children 12 years and under. The charter is also taking precautions due to COVID-19 with a limit of 50 passengers per sail. Sails board at 100 Church St. in Mount, Pleasant SC, behind Red’s Ice House. Sails include complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. Beer and wine is available for purchase to those 21 and older with a valid photo I.D. The Tribute Tuesday schedule is as follows:
