Beasley to Help Guide Work in All Council Industry Clusters

Adrianne Beasley, former director of SC Aerospace, was named the Director of Strategy & Communications for the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness effective July 1, 2020. In this newly-created role, Adrianne will assist in long term strategic planning for the Council and manage the communications and marketing for the Council and each of its statewide clusters, programs, and initiatives.

“In the three years that Adrianne served as the Director of Aerospace Initiatives, she excelled in her work to connect, market, and grow the aerospace industry in South Carolina,” said Susie Shannon, President and CEO of the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness.  “In her new role, she will use that same expertise to work with me to create strategies across all the industry clusters we serve. In her dual role leading the Council communications team, we will be well positioned to promote industry opportunities in the state,” Shannon continued.

“The work that we do at the Council makes a tangible impact on the success of our state, and I have had the privilege to see that first-hand in my capacity as Director of Aerospace Initiatives.  I am excited to take on this new role with the Council and work with our leadership team to grow our state’s knowledge economy,” said Beasley.

Adrianne is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business, where she currently serves on the Young Alumni Board. Adrianne also serves on the Challenger Learning Center Foundation Advisory Board and the US Commercial Service South Carolina District Export Council.
