Dedication of Back Street Park in Laurens Set for November 6th

Back Street Park is a small area of peace and serenity located at the corner of Highway 221 and East Main Street. The park is nearly complete with seating, decorative fence and entrance gate. Work on the park’s interior landscaping is scheduled to begin next week and will be complete prior to the park’s dedication.
“Aside from its purpose in recognizing our history, Back Street Park is a place to find respite, to enjoy as an intimate event space, or just pleasant spot to eat lunch outside,” said Laurens Mayor Nathan Senn.
The dedication ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 6th at 11:00. The event is open to the public.
