October 29, 2020

The Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA) is pleased to welcome R. Megan Anderson as the organization’s new Director, Global Business Development. In this role, Anderson will lead CRDA’s comprehensive, strategic global business development efforts, placing special emphasis on five industry clusters: Life Sciences, Information Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, and Advanced Logistics. She serves as advisor and the primary point of contact for companies evaluating the Charleston region as a prospective location for competitive business investments.

Megan comes to CRDA from Maxis Advisors, a site selection and incentive negotiation firm based in Charlotte, NC. At Maxis, Megan worked to further the firm’s presence in the site selection sector while taking over existing client relationships in the negotiated incentives practice. This role allowed Megan the opportunity to work throughout the U.S., enhancing her knowledge of other states’ and communities’ business environments and competitiveness.

Anderson brings 10 years of economic development experience to CRDA, having previously served as a Senior Project Manager in Global Business for the South Carolina Department of Commerce. A South Carolina native, Anderson was born in Six Mile and earned an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from the University of South Carolina.
