Columbia Chamber announces honorees for 2021 Columbia Impact Awards

Nine to Be Recognized for Outstanding Achievements at 7th Annual Columbia Impact Awards

The Columbia Chamber announced the recipients of the annual Columbia Impact Awards. The 2021 Columbia Impact Awards, presented by Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., will be held virtually on February 18, 2020 at 11:30 AM.

John Sacksteder, President of Mark Anthony Brewing, will deliver a keynote address. Mark Anthony Brewing, the fourth largest brewery in the United States, recently announced the $400 million state-of-the-art facility in Richland County to keep up with the explosive demand for White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

“The Columbia Chamber takes pride in recognizing the outstanding organizations and individuals who work to help the greater Columbia region prosper,” said Carl Blackstone, Columbia Chamber President and CEO. “The Columbia Impact Awards recognizes those who go above and beyond in achieving success towards the betterment of Columbia.”

The Columbia Chamber will recognize the following:

The Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award honors an individual who has shown exemplary leadership in his/her industry, advocates for business, and positively impacts our community. The 2021 recipient (posthumously) is Mr. Bill Hall, founder of Halls Chophouse.

The Small Business of the Year recognizes a Chamber Partner who has shown great growth, significant achievements, or realized economic and cultural growth that benefits the business community. The 2021 recipient is Pendleton Street Advisors.

The Impact Award for Diversity & Inclusion celebrates a Partner that goes above and beyond to create a diverse work environment by breaking the glass ceiling. The 2021 recipient is TD Bank.

The Golden Nail Award is bestowed upon businesses or property owners for exemplary contributions to the physical character of the greater Midlands region through cosmetic or commercial means such as restoration of a façade, historic building, or re-purposing of a blighted space during the previous calendar year. 2021 recipients include: Holiday Inn, Market on Main, Oliver Gospel Roastery and Café, Richland Library, Southeastern Esthetics Institute, and The Woody.
