Boyer Construction hires new Director of Business Development

Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc. is proud to announce that Blake Buchanan has joined Boyer Construction as the Director of Business Development. Blake comes to Boyer after twenty years of business development experience in the collegiate and professional sports marketplace.

“We are excited to welcome Blake to our team. His experience in business development throughout the state will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand our operational footprint,” said Brian Boyer, President of Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc.

Originally from Hartsville, SC, Blake graduated from Clemson University in 1996 and received his Masters from Georgia Southern University in 2002. Blake worked for some of the most preeminent names in collegiate sports media rights holders, ISP Sports, Learfield Sports and IMG. He has spent time on the college campuses of the University of South Carolina, the University of Texas-El Paso and Clemson University. During those times, he helped each of those schools in continued growth and expansion. In 2015, Blake moved to professional sports when the Columbia Fireflies announced they were starting play in Columbia, SC. From their inaugural season Blake helped start and build their corporate partnerships department.

Blake is a member of Shandon United Methodist Church, where he currently serves on SPRC. He also serves on the Satchel Ford Elementary SIC and PTO. He is a member of the Columbia Rotary Club where he will serve as President-Elect in 2021-2022. Blake lives in Columbia with his wife Ashlee and their three children.
