Hartness receives design award from National Association of Home Builders

Cottage design by Hartness’ Town Designer Lew Oliver honored with a gold award in the 2020 Best in American Living™ Awards
Hartness, a new 444-acre urban village founded by the Hartness family and located on Greenville’s Eastside, is pleased to announce that the Jasmine Cottage by Town Designer Lew Oliver and crafted by Hartness Construction has won a gold award for a single-family custom home in the 2020 Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

The Jasmine Cottage is truly the perfect home for “right-sizing” and the judges praised the cottage’s quaint and charming plan, as well as its exterior. The 1,000 square foot luxurious home features cedar plank siding and a genuine cedar shake roof to authentically evoke the English Vernacular style. The design boasts a spacious ceiling over the living space, two bedrooms, and two baths with the master on the main floor. Outside is a beautifully hardscaped two-car parking area and intimate outdoor living space for entertaining and dining. The Jasmine Cottage was built by Hartness Construction and features an interior design by ID Studio Interiors and a landscape design by Byington Landscape Architect, PLLC.

Now in its 37th year, BALA recognizes outstanding achievement by builders and design professionals in all sectors of the residential housing industry including single-family production, custom, multifamily, affordable, remodeling, community and interiors.
