Besides owning The Booty Shop, James is a national motivational speaker and a graduate of the Riley Institute Diversity Leadership Initiative. She also was a member of Leadership Greenville Class 45.
Robinson has worked as a model for years, including with Wilhelmina International Inc., DirectionsUSA, and Ursula Wiedmann Models. Through these agencies, she has collaborated with many designers, brands, and publications such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Cosmopolitan. She has also provided creative and design input for various projects. Locally, Robinson is a volunteer and mentor for Pendleton Place in Greenville, which offers programs to ensure child welfare and family stabilization.
