Countybank and Greenwood Capital donate $5000 to Burton Center
April 20, 2021David Tompkins, Greenwood Market Executive for Countybank; John Cooper, Private Client Advisor for Greenwood Capital; and Wells Dunlap, Commercial Relationship Manager for Countybank, recently presented a check for $5,000 to Laurie Cordell, Executive Director for the Burton Center Board for Disabilities and Special Needs, and Jeff May, Executive Director for the Burton Center Foundation. The donation was made on behalf of the Countybank Foundation, which was established in 1971 and represents Countybank and Greenwood Capital.
“Countybank and Greenwood Capital are long-standing partners and supporters of the Greenwood Burton Center,” said May, “and we are grateful for their partnership.”
The donation will support the Burton Center’s important work providing services to individuals with disabilities and special needs. In addition to the recent Countybank Foundation donation, Countybank and Greenwood associates give back to Burton Center residents throughout the year.
“We are honored to support the Burton Center and the important work they do for those with disabilities and special needs in our community,” said Tompkins. “This organization provides many valuable services, including adult day programs, family support services, residential programs, and supervised living programs, which help these families discover opportunities to mature, grow, and reach their full potential.”
Countybank and Greenwood Capital associates also find ways to give back to Burton Center residents during the holidays. “Every year our associates come together to donate gifts to the Burton Center for children and adults with disabilities or special needs,” said Cooper.
The Burton Center provides free services to individuals and their families who have disabilities and special needs. Their services and programs help promote self-discovering and a greater level of independence.
