Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton to Install New Senior Pastor

May 10, 2021

You know the old saying “good things come to those who wait.” That is exactly how the members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton feel as they announce that after an extended search, Chad Reynolds will be installed on Sunday, May 23, as the senior pastor.

Adam Bruyere, an elder at Westminster served as chair of the pastoral search committee. He says, “When Westminster embarked on this journey to find a new pastor over a year ago, we stepped out in faith, hope, and confidence in the Lord‘s timing and in his perfect plan. I had known Chad Reynolds by reputation for around 20 years but had never met him personally. Fortunately, for both Westminster and the Reynolds family, God has connected us and knit us together over the past several months.”

Bruyere continued, “WPC has always built her ministry on the unwavering proclamation of God’s Word and the building of strong relationships. We look forward to many years of fruitful ministry with Chad, who is not only a gifted preacher but also a compassionate shepherd.”

Reynolds is a native of Rock Hill, SC and a graduate of Erskine College (B.S., 1997) and Erskine Theological Seminary (M. Div., 2003). He and his wife have been married since July 1997 and have three children: Garret, Eli, and Keely Ruth.

“I am thrilled to have Chad, Laney, and their kids join us at Westminster,” said Jen Partee, member of the pastoral search committee. “The Reynolds were committed to serving their community in Lake Wales, and I know Clinton and Laurens County will be impacted in the years to come by their hearts for service. In his short time here, Chad has already made an impact on my family. His love for the Lord and care for individuals is evident, and I pray that our congregation will be encouraged as we join him in a new season of ministry.”

The Installation of Chad Reynolds will be held on Sunday, May 23 at 4:00 in the sanctuary.  Members of the church and community are encouraged to attend. A reception will be held following the service.

“I am excited to get to know the people of Westminster Church and the Clinton/Laurens community as a whole,” said Reynolds. “I trust the Lord Jesus has good things ahead for us as we seek to love God, one another, and our neighbors in His name.”
