Gena Greer was born and raised in the Upstate and currently lives in the Simpsonville area with her husband, Tyler and their children. Greer attended Anderson College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Converse College in 1997. After 23 years in education, Greer retired from a successful teaching career, both at Southside Christian School for the last 16 years, and Spartanburg District Five for 7 years prior to that. Greer is an active member of Temple Baptist church and volunteers throughout the community. When she isn’t working, Greer enjoys spending time with her family and their three doodle dogs.
