Greenville Chamber launches Community Insights data dashboard as community resource

The Greenville Chamber launched Community Insights, a new data visualization dashboard designed as a tool for the business community, residents and policymakers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the needs of the community.
Community Insights, created in partnership with MySidewalk, is an interactive site that presents data insights into a number of critical areas such as demographic, economic, workforce, and quality of life data. The dashboard identifies Greenville’s existing economic conditions, anticipates what the future holds and measures in real-time our region’s progress.
“In order to serve our community, we have to have a comprehensive understanding of the issues and opportunities,” said Carlos Phillips, Greenville Chamber President/CEO. “Community Insights will allow us to develop more data-driven solutions to the unique needs of our region.”
As a strategic priority of Accelerate, the Chamber’s private-sector fueled economic development initiative, funding was set aside to invest in robust data systems. Investing in comprehensive economic and community data will provide meaningful insight as our community’s leadership determine the path forward to building a globally competitive Upstate economy.
