Hello Weekend – So What Will You Do?

Whew, what a week! Are you ready for the weekend? Here’s what’s happening in Laurens County this weekend.
Thursday, August 12th:
Get your weekend started early with Tim Lee Acoustic. Tim is a classically trained guitarist who has been playing for over 35 years. He is also Owner/Trainer of Palmetto Guitar Academy. Come out to Palmetto Brothers
Friday, August 13th:
- Sounds of Summer– Fountain Inn Commerce Park from 7:00-9:30 pm – Kami Ocean & the Rhythm
- Kid’s Day at Musgrove Mill State Park – Kid’s Day will run from 10:00am-12:00pm and is designed for kids ages 8-14. The kids will be taken on a one-hour Ranger guided hike of the 1-mile British Encampment Trail where they will learn about the history of the Battle of Musgrove Mill, the history of the South Carolina Backcountry, nature, and trail safety. After the hike the kids will join the Patriot militia and learn to make paper cartridges, drill with wooden muskets, and how to load a musket.
- Friday Night Live in Laurens – Beat this heat this weekend by joining us for our Sweet Tea Soiree on Friday – flavored sweet teas will be at participating businesses uptown. You can buy your sweet tea glass for $3 and sample all the teas. Music provided by Soulified 7.
- Dining at local restaurants in Laurens, Clinton, Cross Hill, Fountain Inn and more!
Saturday, August 14th:
- Laurens Farmers Market – (8 am – 12 noon) Each week the farmers market gets better and better. They will be set up on the Roma side of the Square so grab a coffee from the Coffee Roost and shop all the great deals at the farmers market.
- Fountain Inn Farmers Market – 110 Depot Street, Fountain Inn. Open from 8 am to noon.
- After shopping the Famers Market
- Shop local including some great stores in Laurens and Clinton.
- Get outside and check out the hiking trails, canoeing areas and bike routes right here in Laurens County
- Live music with Billy Dalton will be back at Palmetto Brothers Dispensary from 7pm – 9pm. Come out to hear his Americana music and hang out with friends.
