Raiders Better, Schedule Too

Daryl Smith, in his second season as head football coach at Laurens High, has built a stronger team around a wealth of talent.

The difficulty is in this schedule. The Raiders open at the reigning Class 5A Upstate champion, Anderson’s T.L Hanna. follow up with the rivalry against Clinton and then take on the 3A state champion, Daniel, in the third game.

Region 2-4A is similarly strong. The school currently ranked No. 3 in the state, Greenville, failed to make the playoffs this year. The Red Raiders, Greenwood and Greer, stand in the Raiders’ path.
