LRADAC partners with law enforcement agencies in Lexington and Richland Counties for unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drug drop off sites in both counties

In observance of the National Drug Enforcement Agency’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day, LRADAC’s Prevention Team is partnering with law enforcement agencies in Lexington and Richland Counties to collect and safely dispose of unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs at several locations throughout Lexington and Richland Counties on Saturday, Oct. 23.

According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.7 million people misused prescription pain relievers, 4.9 million people misused prescription stimulants, and 5.9 million people misused prescription tranquilizers or sedatives in 2019.
