CHS Competitive Cheer Team is Going to State Championship

The CHS Competitive Cheer team qualified for the AAA State Championship on Tuesday, Nov. 9.  The Red Devils will travel to Columbia on Nov. 20, to compete in the state championship.

The competitive cheer program began in 2020, but never got its footing due to COVID and its ramifications.  The team has been practicing since April to prepare for their season.  The Red Devils  competed in four competitions prior to qualifiers, bringing home the top award at the Demon Classic on Oct. 9, at Lugoff-Elgin High School.

Competition time and ticket information for the state championship will be released next week.
