For 29 years, Columbia World Affairs Council has showcased South Carolina globally through international connections, educational programming, and innovative exchanges. Through its network of regional and international partners, the Council continues developing opportunities to increase economic prosperity and global education while advancing South Carolina as an international destination.

The Annual Global Vision Award is the Council’s only fund raising event. Your contribution to, and engagement in, its mission plays a significant role in establishing South Carolina as a world-class state.

The 2021 Global Vision Award this year was presented to George B. Wolfe who was honored at a black-tie gala at the Columbia Marriott on Monday, December 6. This is the 28th year the Columbia World Affairs Council has presented the award to a leader whose contributions have made a significant impact on projecting South Carolina globally.

Mr. Wolfe is partner and co-chair of the Economic Development Practice Group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and founding board member of the Columbia World Affairs Council. During his career, he created and amended tax and incentive laws that positioned South Carolina to consistently be one of the leading states for capital investment in the nation.
