Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C. Dan Joyner, REALTORS announced that Broker-In-Charge, Donna Smith, was awarded the Order of the Palmetto at the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce’s 84th Annual Celebration.
The Order of the Palmetto is the State of South Carolina’s highest civilian honor presented in recognition of a lifetime of extraordinary achievement, service, and contributions on a national or statewide scale. An individual must be nominated for the Order of the Palmetto and recipients must be a native or resident of South Carolina. Smith was presented the award by Rep Bobby Cox on behalf of Governor Henry McMaster.
Donna has worked in the real estate industry for over 40 years, first as a top producing agent then transitioning into a Broker-In-Charge 25 years ago. She prides herself in creating a culture of high-producing agents that embrace a mentor program for the beginners of the industry. Smith has served as the South Carolina REALTORS President and was appointed as the National Association of REALTORS 2022 President’s Liaison for Public and Federal Issues. She has testified on Capitol Hill for the NAR and led the charge to continue the National Flood Program.
