LCSO Animal Control Reports Shelter at Capacity

March 30, 2022

The Laurens County Animal Shelter is completely full.

The LCSO Animal Control team is working hard to find homes for the many dogs we currently have in their care. We share the same goal as our community members- find these innocent animals forever homes.

How can you help?

Consider being a foster home for these dogs. If you own an animal, try to keep them on your property at all times and have them microchipped or wearing identification tags. If you do encounter a stray, you can help us by trying to maintain the dog if you are able to do so while we are at maximum capacity. This will be a saving grace to these deserving animals.

To complicate matters, there is an article circulating online about an animal shelter in Laurens County closing.  The shelter closing is in Laurens County, Georgia NOT Laurens County, South Carolina.
