Kiawah Island Club announces hire of Thomas Nevin as Chief Operating Officer
April 12, 2022Kiawah Island Club, a private, members-only club exclusive to Kiawah Island property owners – located 21 miles south of Charleston – is excited to announce the hire of Thomas (“Tom”) Nevin. A performance-driven private club executive with an extensive background in hospitality and club management, and a proven track record overseeing highly regarded properties including the Westchester Country Club serving as the Chief Operating Officer, and General Manager at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, and New York City’s landmark Waldorf Astoria, Tom has consistently created a culture of great service at a variety of clubs, each with vastly different amenities and member priorities.

Throughout his career, Tom has been involved with many successful capital improvement projects resulting in a notable increase in the quality of the athletic amenities, food and beverage, and lodging, at the clubs he has managed. A team player with a strong belief in the idea that people work with him – not for him – Tom prides himself on diligently working everyday with his team and members to enhance the club experience for all stakeholders. Tom and his wife, Kimberly, have two adult children and are looking forward to relocating to the Lowcountry with their dog Maggie.
Kiawah Island Club consists of two of the top 100 residential golf courses in the country – the Tom Watson-designed Cassique and the Tom Fazio-designed River Course – as well as the Golf Learning Center.
