Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience opens July 19 at the Charleston Area Convention Center

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, an internationally-acclaimed Vincent Van Gogh multimedia exhibit, will feature a limited-run, special show in Charleston, SC from July 16 through September 4 at the Charleston Area Convention Center. The highly anticipated event will feature more than 300 of the greatest works of the post-Impressionist artist and bring Van Gogh’s influential pieces to life in a unique three-dimensional display. Occupying more than 30,000 square feet, Beyond Van Gogh is the largest immersive experience in the country and has sold more than 2.5 million tickets globally, making it one of the most popular traveling exhibitions. While journeying through Beyond Van Gogh, guests will be enveloped in high-resolution digital projections, comprising four trillion content pixels, of the artist’s most iconic pieces and self-portraits, including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers” and “Café Terrace at Night.”. Attendees will also hear Van Gogh’s own dreams, thoughts and words set to a symphonic score, creating an unmatched narrative experience.
The unique sensory experience, produced by Paquin Entertainment Group and presented by Outback Presents, will engage attendees and exhilarate their senses by bringing to life one of the world’s most influential artists. Created by French-Canadian Creative Director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s renowned Normal Studio, the exhibit transports guests into Van Gogh’s spirit through an all-new, exclusively designed space.

Attendees will journey through Van Gogh’s world through a customized space, comprising three areas that segue fluidly into each other. The Introduction Hall leads into the unique Waterfall Room, which flows into the Immersive Experience Room. Freed from their frames, Van Gogh’s spectacular paintings appear on projection-swathed walls inviting guests an up-close, detailed look into his work, while being enveloped in his ever-shifting, swirling and colorful flowers, cafés and stunning landscapes.
