Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and beautification of campus athletic and recreation fields as well as surrounding areas.
• Perform maintenance on grounds equipment, tools, irrigation systems, and campus signage.
• Enter work functions into work order management system as well as other data entry systems and perform all other tasks as assigned to complete and document work.
• Weed both mechanically and chemically; pick up and remove litter, leaves, debris; remove snow and ice from walks and roads; perform irrigation installation and repairs.
• Mow and trim grass including close mowing, painting of lines, logos, edging, mulching, prune/trim trees, shrubs, plant, water and fertilize shrubs, flowers, trees, turf.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and 3 years related experience or equivalency. Good driving record, valid driver’s license and successful background check are required. A negative ore-employment drug screen is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer Clemson Master Gardener Certificate or equivalent, 3-5 years’ experience, vocational school, tech graduate, pesticide applicator license, experience maintaining athletic fields.

Salary: $28,259 – $34,000; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
