First County Wide Diaper Drive Provides Needed Supplies for Many
October 3, 2022Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) in Clinton recently announced a partnership with the Carolina Pregnancy Center (CPC) in Spartanburg to provide “Diaper Drives” in Laurens County.
The first Diaper Drive was held in Clinton on Monday, October 3 in the Victory Worship Center parking lot (intersection of Highway 76 E and Springdale Drive).
“We are pleased with the turnout for the first Diaper Drive today and blessed to have the opportunity to serve others in Laurens County,” said Chad Roberts, Senior Pastor Westminster Church. “We are hopeful that other churches will join this community initiative and that we will be able support more families or single parents in need.”
The next Diaper Drive will be held in Laurens on Monday, October 24 from 10 am – 12 pm in the parking lot of First Baptist Church in Laurens. CPC will be onsite with their mobile unit providing free ultrasounds or pregnancy testing as needed.
“Supporting young mothers and their infant children must be a priority among Christ-followers today. With expenses skyrocketing, we must seize this opportunity to demonstrate compassion toward young mothers by donating basic necessities such as diapers and baby wipes,” said Rev. Tim Marsh, First Baptist Church Laurens. “First Baptist Laurens is pleased to partner with the Carolina Pregnancy Center and Westminster Church to provide for the needs of mothers and their children.”
