Laurens Police Sergeant Receives Lifesaver Award

Recently Chief Grounsell awarded Sgt. Andrew Spillers with the Laurens Police Department Lifesaver Award.

Spillers received the award for his quick response and action at the scene of vehicle that was engulfed in flames with the driver still inside and unconscious. Sgt. Spillers was able to successfully extract the individual from the burning car saving the individual from serious injury or death.
