20th Annual Chick-fil-A Classic December 27 – 30

Experience Columbia SC Sports announced the 20th Annual Chick-fil-A Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament to be held at River Bluff High School in Lexington, SC, Dec. 27 – 30, 2022.

Participating teams this year include:

  • IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida)
  • Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Virginia)
  • Southern California Academy (Los Angeles, California)
  • Greensboro Day School (Greensboro, North Carolina)
  • Huntington Prep (Huntington, West Virginia)
  • John Marshall (Richmond, Virginia)
  • Wheeler (Marietta, Georgia)
  • Columbus (Miami, Florida)
  • Providence Day (Charlotte, North Carolina)
  • The Rock School (Gainesville, Florida)
  • Calvary Christian Academy (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida)
  • River Bluff (Lexington, South Carolina)
  • AC Flora (Columbia, South Carolina)
  • W.J. Keenan (Columbia, South Carolina)
  • Lexington (Lexington, South Carolina)

Carolina’s Challenge participating teams include:

  • Concord Academy (Concord, North Carolina)
  • Seaforth (Pittsboro, North Carolina)
  • Charlotte Country Day (Charlotte, North Carolina)
  • Richland Northeast (Columbia, South Carolina)
  • Cardinal Newman (Columbia, South Carolina)
  • Hartsville (Hartsville, South Carolina)
  • Augusta Christian (Martinez, Georgia)

“We are so very thrilled to continue our support of the Chick-fil-A Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament,” said Scott Powers, executive director of Experience Columbia SC Sports. “For the past 20 years, this event has been ingrained in our community and continues to be recognized nationally as one of the best places to see tomorrow’s basketball stars play today. We always love hosting these high school teams from all over the region during the holiday season.”

All general admission tickets (ages six and up) are $15 when purchased online at www.chick-fil-aclassic.com. You may also purchase tickets for the event at the gym, but please note sales are cash only and the price in-person is $20.

Proceeds from the tournament will once again benefit the Greater Columbia Educational Advancement Foundation (GCEAF) in its efforts to raise educational scholarships for deserving students who live within the Greater Columbia area. The total amount raised over the last 17 years is now $220,000.
