City of Laurens to Host Valentine’s Day Open Air Event

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner you might say that “love is in the air.”
The City of Laurens is counting on it as they announce a new twist on the day of love. With the new pedestrian plaza opening soon, they are inviting you and your sweetheart to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the new space with a evening of dancing, dining, and entertainment.
“We’re excited to break in our new plaza with a fun night out for moms and dads and sweethearts celebrating Valentine’s Day,” said Mayor Nathan Senn. “It should be a fun night!”
“A Night on the Plaza” will begin at 5:30 p.m on February 14 and will continue until 8:30 p.m.
In addition to many great local restaurant options for dinner, they will have a few additional food and dessert options on the Square and a DJ to provide music for your dancing pleasure.
Babysitting options are also being made available. If you have children over the age of seven, feel free to register them at the Ridge for $15 each (additional charge of $10 per sibling added) where they will be fed and entertained while you enjoy your night out!
