Some proceeds from the event will benefit Entrepreneur Centers for Youth’s (EC Youth) Learn Earn, Earn Learn (L.E.E.L.) Program. Established in 2008, EC Youth is an entity for youth ages 17 and under with an ultimate goal of educating youth on financial literacy and exposing them to entrepreneurship experiences. The L.E.E.L. Program is a non-profit organization that allows youth participants to earn stipends. Participants can register for scholarships at EC Youth events held throughout the year. Sponsorships for this program are accepted year-round. Krystal Klear Productions Founder and CEO Krystal Yeadon stated “I wish programs like EC Youth’s L.E.E.L. Program were around when I was younger. That could have helped me understand entrepreneurship at an early age to set me up for success in my business and enhance as time goes on. The many opportunities children have nowadays is priceless, so they should take advantage of what this program has to offer. I want to give back to this organization through Krystal Klear Kares, the giveback branch of my company, because I truly resonate with its purpose of helping children learn about entrepreneurship, showcasing the arts and other career fields, and being community-oriented like my company is.”
The Black History Soul Meet and Eat will be a family-friendly event that people of all ages can attend. Learning will not end with trivia at the event. Each child will leave with a black history activity book while supplies last. The books contain coloring pages, other educational activities and bios about historical African American figures.
