City of Fountain Inn Recognizes Top Employees
February 22, 2023Fountain Inn recently announced the annual awards acknowledging those who go above and beyond in the work to make Fountain Inn the best “inn” in South Carolina.
“These individuals exemplify what it means to be a public servant, a professional in the field, and a great team member,” said City of Fountain Inn Mayor GP McLeer. “We are extremely proud of the work they do every day, and every night, to keep our citizens safe.”
The awards and recipients include:
Officer of the Year: Sgt. Daniel Landreth
Daniel Landreth is a sergeant in our patrol division. He began his career in Fountain Inn in 2019. This award is voted on by all police employees.
Dispatcher of the Year: Caroline Cripps
Caroline Cripps is a dispatcher in our communications division and has been with the department for a year. This award is voted on by all police employees.
Keith Morton Award: Felisha Miller
Felisha Miller serves as the Victim Advocate. She has been with the police department for 3 years. The A. Keith Morton Award (Chief’s award) goes to the police department employee that goes above and beyond in the performance of their duties for the year.
Carlton “Rick” Pope Award: Sgt. Joel Rivera
Joel Rivera is a sergeant in the investigations division. He started his career with Fountain inn in 2016. The Carlton “Rick ” Pope award is an award given in the name of Sergeant Rick Pope who died in the line of duty in 1996. This is for the police officer who excels during the year in the performance of their duties in a proactive and professional way to stop and decrease crime.
