Wilson Associates co-founder Nick Carlson named president of Greater Greenville Association of REALTORS

Wilson Associates, one of Greenville’s largest independent real estate firms, announced that its co-founder, Nick Carlson, has been named president of the Greater Greenville Association of REALTORS® (GGAR) and the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) of Greenville. This well-respected trade group serves more than 3,800 association and more than 4,500 MLS members, across more than 500 member REALTOR® firms in the greater Greenville market.

Carlson assumes this role after more than ten years of working with GGAR as a member, director and officer, during which time he has helped shape training and education, ethics and best practices, profitability and firm management and professional standards for agents and brokerage firms across the area. He has also been a leading voice on key issues, providing insight and helping to lobby for positive change on key issues like development codes, tax valuations, legislation, zoning, affordable housing and sustainable growth, while supporting a host of community and volunteer efforts.

In his eight years of working alongside Sharon Wilson, Wilson Associates’ president/broker in charge, Carlson has helped build Wilson Associates into one of the one of the top-performing independent real estate agencies in the Upstate, using his expertise and uncompromising dedication to provide superior service and help thousands of families find and sell their homes, while mentoring scores of talented agents. An innovator by nature, Carlson helped pioneer the use of social media and digital marketing in the Greenville market and pivoted quickly to develop virtual showings during the pandemic.

Carlson demonstrates his love for the Upstate not only through his professional life but by helping with many local causes, including Hands On Greenville, AID Upstate and Project Host, and has played a key role in raising funds and securing donations for Cancer Survivors’ Park and Unity Park. He is also a patron of the arts, supporting the Peace Center, Artisphere and Metropolitan Arts Council.
