Fibertex Celebrates Expansion with Ribbon Cutting

Today the Laurens County Development Corporation celebrated the latest expansion of Fibertex Nonwovens A/S in Gray Court at their Ribbon Cutting ceremony.

Welcoming remarks were given by Fibertex NA President Carlos Benatto, CEO Jørgen Bech Madsen, Laurens County Council Chairman Brown Patterson, and Chantal Fryer with South Carolina Department of Commerce (SCDOC).

“What a great day in Laurens County. FiberTex’s continued commitment to our County to invest and create jobs shows that Laurens County is a great place to do business,” said Jonathan Coleman, President and CEO, Laurens County Development Corporation. “Our collaborative efforts make these types of commitments possible and we welcome FiberTex’s new North American Headquarters to Gray Court.”

Laurens County presented Fibertex with a special Palmetto tree with engraved plate, and Chantal Fryer gifted a South Carolina state flag from SCDOC.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the facility’s new spun lace line was open for a brief tour and lunch was served for guests.
