R. Nicholas Felix joins Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation team
April 18, 2023Butler Snow LLP announced that R. Nicholas Felix (Nick) has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group in the Charleston, South Carolina, office effective April 1, 2023. He represents individual and corporate clients in complex commercial and catastrophic injury matters. He is also a licensed and certified State and Federal arbitrator and mediator, with a substantial portion of his practice being devoted to Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Felix joins Butler Snow with more than thirty years of legal experience and an extensive professional portfolio. His commercial litigation practice includes contract, commercial and residential construction, trust and estates, employment, director and officer liability, business torts, and financial services cases. Additionally, he has handled personal injury cases of all kind including product liability, premises liability, class actions, and auto wreck cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
Over the course of his impressive career, Felix has mediated over eight hundred cases including class actions, commercial/residential development, multi-party construction, consumer/corporate finance, intellectual property, personal injury, probate, and professional malpractice.
Prior to his work in the private sector, Felix honed his trial skills as a prosecutor and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, serving as a JAG Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in Commercial Litigation and has built a reputation for having a keen sense of practicality and problem-solving in dispute resolution or aggressive representation in legal proceedings.
Felix received his bachelor’s degree from The Citadel and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina.
