Local Artists Compete in Newberry Art Competition

Local artists of The Art Group (T.A.G.) traveled to Newberry, SC on Saturday, April 29 to compete against more than 20 other creatives in the all-day outdoor event.

The event, known as Plein Air Newberry, was sponsored by the Newberry Arts Center and the S.C. Watermedia Society.

Clinton artist Jodie Hatcher (pictured) was awarded an Honorable Mention and sold her oil painting of the Japanese Garden. Debbie Ober of Laurens sold her watercolor painting of the Newberry Opera House to its director.
