South Carolina Highway Patrol enters new Mustang Cruiser into National Calendar Contest

July 26, 2023

One of the SC Highway Patrol’s new Ford Mustang cruisers is representing South Carolina in America’s Best Looking Cruiser Contest! The annual contest is put on by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) and allows state highway patrol agencies nationwide to compete for the privilege of showcasing their cruiser in the yearly calendar. The 13 states that receive the most votes between July 17th and July 31st will be featured in the 2024 Best Looking Cruiser Calendar, with the winner on the cover. In addition to bragging rights, calendar sales contribute to the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which funds educational scholarships given to the dependents of member troopers across the country.

South Carolina is the only state in the competition with a Ford Mustang, which is not only a unique vehicle for law enforcement but a useful tool that aids troopers in intercepting drivers traveling at excessive speeds – often times over 100 miles per hour.

In an effort to get South Carolina in the rankings, we are asking media and other partners across the state to help share this message with your viewers and readers on social media, website, in print or in broadcast.
