Enhancing Legal Literacy through Free Public Education Sessions

In an endeavor to foster legal awareness and educate the community about critical legal matters, the South Carolina Bar has joined forces with local libraries across the state to present a series of informative sessions entitled “Law Talk.” Designed to demystify legal complexities, the initiative aims to empower individuals with knowledge and insights into various legal topics. One such upcoming session at the Laurens County Public Library, titled “Wills, Estates, and Probate,” promises to shed light on these often ignored but important legal matters.

The upcoming Law Talk session is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, from 6 to 7 pm and will be held at the Laurens Library, located at 1017 West Main Street in Laurens.

The session will be presented by a seasoned South Carolina licensed attorney or judge. The presentation is expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes, during which attendees will receive a detailed overview of wills, estates, and probate matters. Following the presentation, a brief question and answer session will allow attendees to seek clarifications.
