Laurens County District 55 School Board Special Runoff Election Yields Final Results

The special runoff election for Laurens County District 55 School Board took place on Tuesday, August 15, for Seat 1 and Seat 3.

Tabitha Keitt was elected for Seat 1 over Kelvin Byrd and Heather Hall Elders was elected for Seat 3 over Angela Lowe Wells. Voter turnout was 7.4 percent with 565 votes cast out of 7,640 registered voters.

Keitt and Elders, will join Chip Jenkins, who emerged as the definitive winner on August 1, securing Seat 7.
