Dorchester County announces updates on county services

Dorchester County Administrative Offices and Dorchester County Courts

All Dorchester County Administrative Offices and Dorchester County Courts will resume their normal operating hours on Friday, September 1.

Dorchester County Convenience Sites

The following Dorchester County Convenience Sites are currently operating on their regular schedules for Thursday, August 31.

• Sandy Pines Yard Debris Convenience Site: 374 Sandy Pines Lane
• Givhans Convenience Site: 1548 Givhans Road
• Ridgeville Convenience Site: 258 Cambell Thicket Road
• Knightsville Convenience Site: 1941 Central Avenue
• Harleyville Convenience Site: 455 Seven Mile Road
• Geddisville Convenience Site: 467 Geddisville Road
• St. George Convenience Site: 5365 Memorial Blvd.
• Grover Convenience Site: 3551 Wire Road
• Highway 61 Convenience Site: 1344 Beech Hill Road
• Miles Jamison Road Yard Debris Convenience Site: 130 Suburban Lane
• Oakbrook Convenience Site: 235 Old Fort Drive
• Reevesville Convenience Site: 312 Myers Road

The following convenience site is closed until further notice.

• Rosinville Convenience Site: 321 Deep Woods Road

Dorchester County Parks

All Dorchester County Parks will open at 1:00 p.m. for Thursday, August 31 and will follow their normal operating hours.

Dorchester County Public Libraries

All Dorchester County Public Libraries will resume their normal operating hours on Friday, September 1.

Dorchester County Animal Control

Dorchester County Animal Control is unable to transport stray animals as Dorchester Paw’s Pet Support Service Department (intake office) will be closed until Saturday, September 2.

For any animal emergencies, please contact the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
