Capturing the Beauty of Laurens County: Annual Earth & Sky Photo Contest

Calling all photography enthusiasts in Laurens County!

The Laurens County Conservation District is excited to announce the Annual Earth & Sky Photo Contest, an opportunity to showcase the natural beauty of our region through the lens of a camera. Whether you’re a budding photographer or an experienced shutterbug, this contest offers a chance to share your talent and win exciting prizes.

Eligibility and Guidelines

To participate in the Annual Earth & Sky Photo Contest, here are the key eligibility criteria and guidelines you need to keep in mind:

Residency Requirement: Photographers must be residents of Laurens County to be eligible for this contest.

Amateur Photographers: Participants must be amateur photographers, meaning they have not received monetary compensation for any photography jobs.

Photography Period: Photos must be taken in Laurens County between January 1, 2023, and October 31, 2023.

Submission Limit: Each contestant is allowed to submit a total of two photos.

Photo Subjects: If a person is a subject in a photograph, a Photo/Media Release must be signed.

Photo Ownership and Usage: Photos submitted become the property of the Laurens County Conservation District and may be used in future publications with an acknowledgement credit line. This includes social media, LWSC, and Laurens County Chamber of Commerce.

How to Enter

Participating in the Annual Earth & Sky Photo Contest is absolutely free. To submit your entries, please send your high-resolution photos to [email protected]. Along with your photos, ensure to include the following information:

• Your name
• Address
• Phone number
• Specify if you are in the Youth (18 and under) or Adult category
• Provide a title for each of your submitted photos

Prizes and Recognition

There are 12 exciting chances to win in this contest. The Laurens County Conservation District will evaluate all submitted photos based on creativity, composition, lighting, and relevance to the theme. Winners will not only receive recognition for their talent but also exciting prizes.
