Greenville Women Giving to open 2024 grant application process
October 10, 2023Greenville Women Giving (GWG), a women’s collective giving organization serving Greenville County, will begin accepting grant applications on November 1, 2023. GWG seeks to fund worthy grants that have the potential for high impact and significant positive change in the areas of the Arts, Education, Environment, Health and Human Services. Grants are funded by member contributions and are awarded once per year based on the cumulative voting of GWG members.
Greenville Women Giving welcomes grant requests from 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organizations that offer services to citizens of Greenville County. Funding is provided for general operating support, establishment of new programs, continuation or expansion of existing programs, and for capital improvements. All grant requests must outline why funds are needed, define the anticipated impact, and provide clear action steps and timelines to achieve measurable and sustainable results.
GWG members believe that a strong community requires strong programs and services in a variety of sectors. Therefore, GWG awards at least one grant in each of the five focus areas previously noted. Grant awards in 2024 will range from $50,000 to $100,000 for either a one-year or two-year period.
Applications are available online at www.greenvillewomengiving.org/grants/. Grant guidelines, application instructions and frequently asked questions are all available on the GWG website. The deadline for submission is November 27, 2023, at midnight. Grants will be awarded at the GWG Annual Meeting on May 14, 2024.
GWG will hold a Grantee Information session on October 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Greenville Water, 517 W. Washington Street. Anyone interested in attending must register by emailing [email protected].
A GWG Grant Information video will also be available on the Greenville Women Giving website beginning October 30. Both new and returning grant applicants are encouraged to attend the information session and/or view the video. Questions should be submitted to the email noted above.
