K&L Gates’ Charleston office welcomes new hires

K&L Gates’ Charleston office welcomed two new hires to the office:

Ms. Allessandra Stewart joins the Charleston office as counsel in the firm’s Health Care and FDA practice group.

Prior to joining the firm, Allessandra served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and District of South Carolina, where she handled a myriad of criminal and appellate matters. Prior to her government service, Ms. Stewart worked in private practice as a civil litigator at another global law firm. Ms. Stewart received her BA from Williams College (cum laude) and her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Ms. Elisabeth Lewis joins the Charleston office as an associate in the firm’s Health Care and FDA practice group.

Ms. Lewis joins the firm directly out of law school. She received her BA (summa cum laude) and Masters (summa cum laude) from the University of South Carolina, and her JD (magna cum laude) from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was an editor for the South Carolina Law Review.
